What is the highest paying branch of engineering?

Well i have a trade in Metal Fabrication, so what do you think the best branch of engineering would be to get into regarding my trade? Civil, Mechanical, Structural? Any ideas- thanks!|||I was just looking at some 2000 census information last night and the highest average earning engineering discipline was petroleum engineering.|||I don't know what pays best, but I do know that EEs now average over $100K. (Beginners get a lot less, 20 years experience and a PhD gets a lot more.)|||ec or cs|||when you cash best that know very much

if you have so much engineering information , thay will pay very much

i think mechanical engineernig is good for eny body that want to develop information
