What branch of the Army would be good for communications jobs?

I am going into the Army as a 2nd Lieutenant in a few years, but I don't know what to branch.

I really want to work eventually in marketing, advertising, or some sort of communications job.

What branch would be best suited to prepare me for my long-term career goals? And as a 2nd LT, will I be able to have a military job that involves any of these communication type jobs?

Thanks so much!|||When the Army says communications they mean radios.

The kind of communications you are talking about the Army calls Public Affairs. Try to become a Public Affairs Officer (PAO). The closest Army branch to this is called the Adjutant General Corps.|||There is a HUGE difference between military communications and the civilian use of 'communications" in the corporate arena.

The motto of The Signal Corps is "Hear me speak". What is transmitted are not ads or proposals. You would want to get into "Public Relations". Not sure just how much you get to choose what branch you end up in.

SSG US Army 73-82

Avionics and Signal|||My first MOS was 31F.

Network Switching Operator, Maintainer, Repair.

However, the MOS is among the more difficult jobs to learn in the Army. People were dropping like flies, failing out every day!

Think twice about it, before you take that job.

There is always other 31 series jobs to though.|||the closest thing is public affairs, but there is nothing as far as marketing and advertising. and although you do get to put down your top 5 branch choices, you are not guaranteed any of them. its the downside of being an officer.|||You will discover as millions before you have learned, despite your qualifications, promises and your choice, the military will stick you with whatever job they have an opening for. |||hahaahaa a woman in the army

even though i suppose those troops need fed

and they would need to get their washing done somehow.|||Civil Affairs.

Adjutant General's Corps |||Signal Corps.
