How does the judicial branch function in the checks and balance system?

Discuss how the federal judicial branch functions in our checks and balance system as the third branch of government.|||The judicial branch can "check" the power of the president and congress by declaring a bill unconstitutional. They are very powerful, but remember that they are check as well. No branch of government has wholly unchecked power, which is why it's very difficult to get anything done in our government. But that is also what makes the US government so unique.
